NI 43-101

Canadian national instrument that governs how mineral resources and reserves are publicly disclosed.

NI 43-101 is the Canadian Securities Administrators' national instrument that sets minimum standards for disclosing scientific and technical information about mineral projects. Any material disclosure of resources, reserves, or economic studies on a TSX/TSXV-listed mining company must be supported by a Technical Report prepared by a Qualified Person under NI 43-101 rules. The instrument exists to prevent the kind of fabricated drilling results that triggered the Bre-X scandal in 1997.
