Qualified Person (QP)
The individual geologist or engineer who signs off on NI 43-101 disclosures.
Under NI 43-101, a Qualified Person is an engineer or geoscientist with at least five years of experience relevant to the mineral project, registered with a recognized professional association. The QP takes personal responsibility for the technical content of a Technical Report — including drill results, resource estimates, and economic studies. The Australian equivalent under JORC is called a Competent Person.
