Bonanza grade
An exceptionally high grade — typically >30 g/t gold or equivalent.
Bonanza grade is shorthand for an intercept dramatically above the deposit's typical grade — often >30 g/t gold or equivalent for the commodity. Bonanza intercepts can move share prices significantly because they suggest the deposit may contain high-grade structures that materially raise the project's economics. They also need careful follow-up drilling — a single bonanza hole can be a one-off pocket rather than continuous mineralization.
