NEWS RELEASE

FINAL 2008 HIGH GRADE SILVER-LEAD-ZINC RESULTS REPORTED FROM BA PROJECT

Great Bear Resources Ltd. ("Great Bear" or the " Company")(CNSX:GBR) is pleased to report final results from the 2008 drill program operated by Mountain Boy Minerals Ltd. (TSXV:MTB) ("Mountain Boy") on the BA Project, Eskay Creek district, British Columbia. Recent drill results confirm the continuity of high grade silver-lead-zinc mineralization along the 600 metre drilled strike length of the Main Zone volcanogenic massive sulfide (VMS) body. Highlights of the latest drill results include 60 metres returning 142.75 g/t silver, 1.09% lead and 1.98% zinc within a longer 189.02 metre high grade interval returning 82.0 g/t silver, 0.46% lead and 1.14% zinc in drill hole BA-2008-76.

High grade silver-lead-zinc mineralization is contiguous along the entire 600 metre drilled strike length of the Main Zone at BA, and remains open along strike. High grade mineralization of over 68.57 g/t (2 oz/st) silver is present in 62 of the 80 drill holes completed to date.

BA 2008-75, located in the centre of the Main Zone, intersected 3.05 metres grading 520.40 g/t silver within a 59.15 metre interval returning 157.96 g/t silver, 0.30% lead and 0.41% zinc.

The Main Zone currently includes 300 metres of contiguous down-dip high grade mineralization with a 600 metre strike length. The Main Zone is open in all directions. High grade VMS mineralization is interpreted to plunge gently to the north.

BA-2008-64 to BA-2008-67 were collared more than 400 metres down slope from any of the Main Zone drill collars. Three of the four holes intersected significant silver-lead-zinc mineralization. These results indicate the VMS mineralization system is present over a large area, and support further down-dip exploration.

Assay results from the final 11 diamond drill holes are presented in the table below:

2010 Exploration Program

Great Bear has planned a three drill, +20,000 metre program for the BA Project in 2010. The focus of this work will be the north-south and down dip expansion of the Main Zone high grade mineralization, and the discovery of new silver-rich VMS zones within the prospective Upper Hazelton group stratigraphy across the BA Property. Drill targeting will be enhanced through an extensive airborne geophysical survey, together with geochemical and geological mapping program.

Great Bear has contracted the services of Geotech Ltd. to fly an airborne VTEM survey over the BA Project, with the goal of identifying additional drill targets for the 2010 exploration season. This survey is currently underway, with results expected in time for the initiation of field work and drilling at the BA Project in early summer 2010.

The BA Project - Great Bear Establishes a Dominant Presence in the Stewart Mining District

The extremely positive results from the 2006 to 2008 exploration program establish the BA Project as the leading silver-rich VMS exploration project in the Stewart district. Great Bear continues to examine other properties for acquisition, as it builds an industry-leading position.

The BA Project

The BA Project is located 30 km east of Stewart, British Columbia, straddling paved highway 37A on the north flank of Cambria Peak, within the same stratigraphic horizon which hosts the Eskay Creek mine. The host rocks are part of the upper Hazelton Group of the Stikine terrane, which comprises a series of Middle Jurassic bimodal volcanics deposited in a back-arc basin. The silver-lead-zinc mineralization is part of an exhalative volcanogenic massive sulfide (VMS) style, base and precious metal mineralization system. The VMS mineralization hosting stratigraphy is interpreted to be present over an area of approximately 23 km2 at the BA Property, most of which remains to be explored.
