Great Bear Resources Ltd. ("Great Bear" or the " Company")(CNSX:GBR) reports further results from the 2008 drill program operated by Mountain Boy Minerals Ltd. (TSXV:MTB) ("Mountain Boy") at the BA Project located in the Stikine terrane near Stewart, British Columbia. Highlights include a 51.83 metre interval returning 146.08 g/t silver, 1.39% lead and 4.01% zinc.

Additional Results Enhance Mineralized Zone at BA

Newly returned assay results indicate significant silver, lead and zinc volcanogenic massive sulfide ("VMS") mineralization has now been drilled over a strike length of approximately 600 metres. Mineralization remains open along strike and at depth. Preliminary three dimensional modeling of these diamond drill results suggests that the main mineralization horizon is steeply northwest dipping with a variable true thickness of approximately 10-50 metres. Where assays have been returned, results suggest that silver-lead-zinc mineralization is approximately contiguous along this strike length, with a mean grade of 20 g/t silver, 0.17% lead and 0.44% zinc. These average grades are preliminary and will be revised upon receipt of the final 2008 assay results. High grade silver mineralization of over 34.26 g/t (one troy ounce per short ton) is present in 64 of 66 assayed diamond drill holes, indicating that intervals of high grade silver mineralization are common in this system.

Assay results from 12 diamond drill holes DDH-2008-BA-52 to DDH-2008-BA-63 are presented in the table below. A complete table of BA drilling results, as well as maps of drill hole locations and drill hole traces, and cross sections through the mineralization will be provided on the Great Bear Resources web site. The results from the remaining 13 diamond drill holes will be released as they become available.

The VMS mineralization is hosted within mudstones, mudstone breccias and dacite breccias lying below the main exhalative horizon. Surface exposure of the mineralized horizon extends for approximately 800 metres along strike length in the drilled area. Because of topographic constraints, much of the historic drilling at BA has been sub-parallel to the dip of mineralization, and further drilling across the mineralized zone will be required to better define true thicknesses, continuity of mineralization and to compile a mineralized resource.

Exploration Budget of $5.3M approved by Board of Directors

Given these positive preliminary results, the Board of Directors of Great Bear has approved a first year exploration budget of $5.3M in order to aggressively and effectively explore the large tonnage and high grade potential of the BA Project. Under the terms of the Joint Venture agreement with Mountain Boy, Great Bear has the option to acquire a 50% interest in the BA Project by spending $5.5M over four years, with the option to acquire an additional 20% interest (for a total of 70%) by completing a Bankable Feasibility Study on or before December 31, 2015.

The 2010 exploration budget will include regional aerial geophysical surveys over an area of approximately 500 square kilometers covering stratigraphy amenable to VMS mineralization.

An objective for exploration at the BA Project during 2010 will be the expansion of the known strike length, through further diamond drilling, of the main mineralized horizon to both the north and south, and definition of an inferred resource. Field mapping of geological structure and lithology, as well as local geochemical sampling and characterization will also be undertaken to define exploration targets across the property.

The BA Project

The BA Project is located 30 km east of Stewart, British Columbia, straddling paved highway 37A on the north flank of Cambria Peak, within the same stratigraphic horizon which hosts the Eskay Creek mine. The host rocks are part of the upper Hazelton Group of the Stikine terrane, which comprises a series of Middle Jurassic bimodal volcanics deposited in a back-arc basin. The silver-lead-zinc mineralization is part of an exhalative volcanogenic massive sulfide (VMS) style, base and precious metal mineralization system. The VMS mineralization hosting stratigraphy has been mapped over a strike length of approximately 12 km at the BA Property, most of which remains to be explored.

Further to its joint venture agreement with Mountain Boy, Great Bear has conducted a site inspection and review of the drill core logging and quality control procedures used by Mountain Boy on the BA Project.
