Hawk McNugget JV “Ring of Fire” Update, “MacDonald Mines Identifies Matagami Type VMS Camp”

Jun. 23, 2010 (TheNewswire.ca) --

Toronto, Ontario, June 23, 2010 - Hawk Uranium Inc. (OOTC:HWKPF) (TSXV:HUI) (TSX-V:HUI, FRANKFURT:HPM, PINK-OTC:HWKPF)("Hawk" or the "Company") would like to refer interested parties to the June 22, 2010 announcement by MacDonald Mines Exploration (TSXV:BMK) Ltd. (TSX-V:BMK)("MacDonald") entitled "MacDonald Mines Releases Final Assays From James Bay, Identifies Fourth Limb on Potential Matagami-Type VMS Camp", which announces the most recent drill results from the MacDonald-McNugget Property. Drill hole MN 10-111 that was drilled to test VTEM anomaly N-32 intersected a mineralized zone that returned 1.04 percent Copper over 5 meters. This anomaly strikes directly onto the Hawk/MacDonald-McNugget JV Ground, a joint venture property held by Hawk and MacDonald covering 6 contiguous claims, or approximately 1,554 hectares, in the James Bay Lowlands, Ring of Fire Area of Northern Ontario. Hawk has a 36.75 percent interest in this joint venture with the remaining interest held by MacDonald, who also acts as operator on the project. A map of the property can be accessed via the link provided below.

Nickel Target Identified on Hawk/MacDonald-McNugget JV Ground:

Hawk is also pleased to announce the completion of a surface Geophysics Pulse EM survey by Crone Geophysics of Mississauga, Ontario over the prospective Nickel target-VTEM anomaly N-25 in the vicinity of borehole MN 07-39 (27 meters averaging 0.26 percent Ni including 1m intersections of greater than 0.5 percent Ni, and 0.36 percent Ni over 4.5 meters. For more information on borehole MN 07-39 please see MacDonald's press releases of August 11, 2009 and November 13, 2007). Preliminary interpretation indicates a step response of a conductive body trending approximately East-West with a strike length of over 300m, which is currently being modeled. A second conductor may exist under one of the loop edges. The surface program is being widened with a different transmitter loop location t assist in the resolution of both conductors prior to drilling this target in the summer of 2010.
