Armistice Resources Corp. test milling and update

TORONTO, Dec. 23 /CNW/ - Armistice Resources Corp. (TSX: AZ) ("Armistice" or the "Corporation") is pleased to announce that a 44.3 short-ton sample of crushed rock from the completed bulk sample programme at the McGarry Project has been processed by SMC (Canada) Ltd. at its McAlpine Mill Site located at Cobalt, Ontario.
This is an important part of the continuing work to evaluate options for future gold recovery from a potential mining operation at McGarry. Historical metallurgical work on McGarry bulk samples have shown that gold recoveries in excess of 65% can be achieved with gravity methods alone. This result is encouraging Armistice to pursue options for optimizing the gold recovery by non-leach methods.
The SMC plant is ideal for a bulk scale test at this time since it operates at low hourly throughput suitable for a 44 ton sample and consists of a Holman table for gravity recovery and a small bank of flotation cells for secondary recovery. Appropriate tailings samples have been collected for future leach tests. The table concentrate and flotation concentrate are being sent to SMC's refinery in the US for final recovery of the contained gold which will be sold. Process assay results are not yet available. Armistice engaged Genivar of Val D'Or, Quebec to provide independent oversight of the milling process.
Depending upon the results of this test work, continuing metallurgical test work will be conducted to optimize the gravity and flotation recovery options. Parallel work will be done to determine options for final leaching of the gravity/flotation tailings, including by batch heap leaching.
Armistice has also now completed the logging of backlogged diamond drill core from the detailed in-fill programme on the 2250 Level and assay results from the drill core are expected in early January. Work is currently focusing on logging and sampling the exploration holes both below and above the 2250 Level completed in 2007-2008.

Armistice is a Canadian exploration company that owns the McGarry project in North-eastern Ontario located on the prolific Larder Lake break.
