VANCOUVER, Feb. 3 /CNW/ - Sun Gro Horticulture Income Fund (the "Fund") (TSX: GRO.UN) announced today the appointment, effective February 3, 2006, of T. Richard Turner as a director and interim Chairman of the board of directors of Sun Gro Horticulture Canada Ltd., the Fund's wholly-owned subsidiary. Mr. Turner, who has been a trustee of the Fund since March, 2002, will replace Douglas D. Allen who resigned from the board of Sun Gro Horticulture Canada effective January 17, 2006. Sun Gro would like to thank Mr. Allen for his years of service on the board.
Sun Gro Horticulture Income Fund is a limited purpose trust established on February 12, 2002 to hold the securities of Sun Gro Horticulture Canada Ltd. Sun Gro Horticulture Canada Ltd. is the largest producer of peat in North America and the largest distributor of peat moss and peat-based growing media to North American professional plant growers.
