White Tiger Mining Corp. (WTC.V)( W0I.FF) has two key properties located in Northern Ontario. The Marshall Lake property is an advanced stage copper, silver, gold exploration project located 30 km west of Nakina, Ontario, while their Norton Lake property is a nickel, copper, cobalt, and platinum group elements deposit that is located about 50 km northeast of Fort Hope, Ontario.
The Marshall Lake holding consolidates several showings that previously were held by a number of separate parties. Volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) mineralization as found at Marshall Lake typically occurs in clusters. Modern exploration techniques, particularly in geophysics, have helped define identify extensions of the historical zones and develop new drill targets. One of the first holes of the company’s initial drilling program last fall hit 23 meters of 1.34% copper, including 5 meters of 4.08% copper, 20.6 g/t silver and 1.12 g/t gold.
The 2011 Phase 2 program will focus on expanding the RM zone that now is open in all directions, developing an initial resource estimate, and exploring several other high-potential targets.
