Perseus Managing Director, Mark Calderwood's Comments
"Drilling at the CAGP is predominantly focused on growing our gold reserves, which will open the possibility of further increasing production rates."
"It's also good to see the commencement of assay flow from Sissingue and the calibre of grades from deeper infill drilling which will assist in upgrading Inferred resources within and below the existing pit design."
Ghana
Perseus is continuing active and systematic exploration programs across its 650sq km Ghana tenement area, including the under-explored Nkotumso, Nsuaem and Dunkwa licences. Apart from ongoing drilling of identified targets, the Company is preparing to undertake 400 line km of gradient induced polarization and 300 line km of infill soil sampling, which are expected to identify further drill targets. At the same time, the Company is continuing to drill known deposits, including a number which currently do not have any reserves, to convert a significant amount of existing resources to reserves during the next 12 to 18 months.
Côte d'Ivoire
Recent activity on the TGP has largely been focussed on sterilisation drilling at Sissingue, but limited deeper infill and extensional resource drilling has returned encouraging results highlighting the potential to extend and upgrade the deeper Inferred resources within and below the existing pit design at Sissingue. Limited exploration drilling has been undertaken, but the bulk of these results are still pending.

About Perseus Mining Limited
Perseus Mining Limited (ASX/TSX: PRU) has forged a reputation as one of West Africa's most successful gold explorers focused on under-explored gold belts in West Africa. Perseus recently became a producer at its Central Ashanti Gold Project (CAGP) in Ghana. The Company plans to produce at the initial rate of about 220,000 ounces of gold in the next 12 months and to increase this to about 280,000 ounces per annum in year 2. Details of the project and mine plan are set out in the technical report entitled "Technical Report - Central Ashanti Gold Project, Ghana" dated May 30, 2011.
Perseus is now also planning the development of its Tengrela Gold Project in Côte d'Ivoire, with production targeted for 2013. Tengrela has the potential to become a significant contributor to the Company's goal to develop into a 400,000 ounce per annum gold producer during 2013. Details of the project are set out within "Technical Report - Tengrela Gold Project, Ivory Coast" dated September 02, 2010."
Perseus will continue its strategy of rapidly increasing its resource and reserve base during the development of the CAGP and Tengrela.
