Michael Kilbourne Appointed a Director

Toronto, Ontario, January 28, 2010…Copper Reef Mining Corporation (CNQ:CZC) (CZC.CNSX) is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Kilbourne to its Board of Directors. Mr. Kilbourne is a Geologist with 25 years experience in both mineral exploration and production throughout Quebec, Northern Ontario, Eastern Canada and the US and 15 years experience with mine modelling software. Copper Reef's management believes he will be a valuable member of its team as the Company's exploration projects advance in scope. In particular, his experience with modelling software will assist Copper Reef to quickly model its resources and help in the timely evaluation of acquisitions.
Mr. Kilbourne is currently President of White Pine Resources Inc. (TSXV:WPR) (OOTC:WPRFF) with exploration properties in the James Bay Lowlands ‘Ring of Fire' and the Boston Creek gold camp. Mr. Kilbourne graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1985 with an Honours B.Sc. in Geology.
Resigning his position on the board is Stephen Davies, COO of Kria Resources (OOTC:KIARF) (TSXV:KIA) Inc., who has recently also become involved with Crowflight Minerals Inc. (TSX:CML) Stephen felt that with his added responsibilities relating to the Bucko Mine he would not be able to contribute effectively as a member of the board and of its Compensation Committee. Copper Reef is pleased to report that Stephen has agreed to continue his involvement with it in the capacity of a technical consultant where he has detailed knowledge and expertise with respect to Copper Reef's more advanced projects.
