US$400m conditional loan from the US Office of Strategic Capital for Syerston. Conditional is doing some work in that sentence, but a US defence lender underwriting an Australian scandium mine says a lot about where supply is expected to come from. Stack it with the Lockheed offtake and the feasibility study and the funding picture looks more complete than most developers three times the size. The open question for me is timing to first product, not whether the money exists.
